Bravo! We recently read about how common and amazing these trees were in the forests -- it was a Bill Bryson book, we think. We'll be cheering on your seedlings! Grow babies grow!

Sherley -

I agree, milkweed blossoms are amazingly fragrant! I'm not doing a show at my house this summer, but I will be this fall. You can see where I'll be for the next few months.

This is a good idea. I think I'll give it a try! (My neighbors already know I'm weird.) I'll have to do it soon, 'cuz now that little back legs have started sprouting I think it won't be long before they're gone.

Mmmm . . . lamb's quarters. They've been a regular in our salads, along with some wood sorrel for a sour bite. We just finished with the Black Locust blooms, which are one of our favorite wild edibles, and are nibbling on sheep's head sorrel whenever we can find it. Spring is so delicious!

Hello Peg! We have never heard of such of thing, but it's immensely exciting, as we LOVE anything bioluminescent =) Could you take some home and look at them in a dark closet? Or bring a grocery bag and stick the plastic container in there along with your head? People might think you were a little weird (okay, VERY weird), but it should solve the question of whether they are iridescent or luminescent.

Do let us know if you figure out the mystery -- this is truly fascinating!
