Children’s Storybook Trail at Lillibridge

Join us once again at the Lillibridge Property for a new storybook adventure along our Storybook Reading Trail for the young readers in your life.  Read the tale The Tree That’s Meant To Be on the Interpretive Trail ( Griffin’s Way– an easy, .36 mi round trip trail) as you wander through our old growth hemlock forest.  The storybook pages are held in place by our gentle giants for you to read as you pass by. See our map at the Lillibridge kiosk to find where your adventure begins.  The book will be available beginning Friday, December 9th through Christmas.  The enchanting children’s book is a fun way to add to your celebration of the holiday season.  The Lillibridge Property is located at 1974 Lillibridge Road, Portville, NY.  We would love for you to share pictures and let us know how you enjoyed your visit by e-mailing naturalist@pfeiffernaturecenter.org  Enjoy the beautiful outdoors! JANUARY

8th Annual New Year’s Day Hike at Eshelman

Sunday, January 1st Hike Start Time: 10 am    Hike Length: 1 hr-1.5 hrs.

Sugaring at Eshelman is a piece of our history that we still take part in today, so join us on our New Year’s Day hike to our Eshelman Sugar Shack!  This hike will be led by the boy scouts who assembled the new construction.  Hot beverages will be served at the sugar shack upon our arrival.  Be sure to wear sturdy walking boots and dress for the weather conditions. This hike will take place at the Eshelman Property-1420 Yubadam Rd., Portville.  The hike is free and open to the public.  The hike will be canceled if we are experiencing extreme weather conditions. Minors must be accompanied by an adult.
