Exploring the World of Bats

Join us! Jonathan Townsend, PhD will speak about the relationship that bats have with plants locally and globally. Bats provide key services for plants like:

pollination
seed dispersal
nutrient cycling
control of insect pests

The program will also feature a live demonstration of bat survey equipment using an ultrasonic microphone (approx. 9:15–9:30 PM), so come prepared for a night walk if you want to take part!
